The Emzi essence
The origin of this essence
This conviction is rooted in a time when shoemaking was an artisanal tradition, where each pair was unique, shaped by expert hands. An era that, over time, underwent a radical evolution: industrialization.
Gradually erasing the individual differentiation brought by the traditional shoemaker, to make way for standardization.
We make a conscious choice to return to these artisanal roots, working exclusively with artisans who have been working for generations, to preserve the individuality that mass production has lost.
Why do we do this?
How do we do it?
1.
Produce where it makes sense
Always start from the same starting point: a know-how and the country or historical region of this know-how, to find the best workshop to make our shoes. And respect the ecosystem in which it is located, by sourcing raw materials close to the workshop, as our ancestors did.
2.
Favouring family craftsmanship
We have chosen to work only with family workshops on a human scale, which have been manufacturing shoes by hand for more than 2 generations and which are based in Spain and Italy. Each workshop is selected for one or more specialties.
3.
Promoting exceptional know-how
Making our shoes in these family workshops in Europe, still working by hand, contributes to maintaining a recognized know-how. Each pair you wear not only embodies excellence but also supports justified remuneration for these passionate artisans.
4.
Exploring the timeless
Developing shoes that are outside of trends and are made to be worn. Timeless pieces that will become part of you and your daily life. With noble and durable materials over time.
5.
Embodying “smart elegance”
Create strong, elegant and comfortable pieces that will give you confidence and bring a touch of character to your looks.
6.
Stay Petite-Friendly
Because being yourself is not a question of size, we design all our shoes so that they are suitable for all feet, even the smallest, starting from size 33.
